Cessna 172

The Cessna Skyhawk 172 optimises its basic analogue display to offer unprecedented training for our instrumental flights. Cessna is a very popular aircraft for many flight training schools so it is most likely that you will fly this at least once in your life. This high wing, single engine aircraft provides all types of manoeuvring capabilities compared to other aircraft due to its utility category. The added seats in the back of the aircraft enable it to carry passengers; we find this very beneficial enhancing our students learning in flight.

The wings hold the fuel tanks which are located outboard of the engines, and hold a total of 200 litres (100 litres in each). Inside, the Tecnam uses a glass cockpit configuration with Garmin 950: the G950 puts a wealth of flight-critical data at your fingertips. The system is capable of presenting flight instrumentation, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic and engine data on large format, high resolution displays. Students get the opportunity to train with this aircraft up to completing their final Flight Skills Exam needed to obtain the Commercial Pilots License.
