From our beginnings in Bilbao to becoming one of Europe’s leading aviation academies, Flyby Aviation Academy has always been driven by a passion for flight and a commitment to quality training. Learn how we grew from a small pilot school into a global community shaping future aviators.
Founded in 2008 in Bilbao by two commercial pilots, FlyBy Aviation Academy has grown into one of Europe’s leading pilot training organizations and the largest ATO in Spain. Today, we have trained thousands of cadets representing more than 115 nationalities, shaping the next generation of professional pilots.
FlyBy operates primarily from Burgos and Logroño airports, offering an uncongested training environment with access to 9 ILS-equipped airports within a 100-mile radius, ensuring consistent exposure to real operational conditions.
Our infrastructure includes a modern fleet of 43+ aircraft, most equipped with glass-cockpit (EFIS) avionics, including multi-engine training aircraft, supported by advanced simulation technology with four devices, including an Airbus A320 MCC simulator.
Beyond flight training, FlyBy offers a strong academic pathway as one of the few academies in Europe providing an integrated Bachelor of Science in Commercial Piloting, in partnership with the University of Burgos.
Our commitment goes beyond training. Through exclusive Mentored and Cadet Programs, we provide structured pathways that support our graduates in transitioning into commercial aviation careers worldwide.
